Rick Warren refers to the social problems of the world as the "global giants". These problems of the world can be solved by all the people of all faiths working together. He states that the church has a wonderful thing that other entities don't have in the world. This thing, he says, is universal distribution. It is the only truly global organization. "He says: "Cannot we all get along?"
Please note what the book of Revelation says when it talks about the False Prophet and what he will do:
Revelation 13: 15-17 "And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the
beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name."
There are so many things that I could be saying at this moment as I watch the whole world out of control. We are close, oh so close, to the very end of times. Many places in the US set new heat records and this amazing heat continues. Just this week there were vicious fires that ravaged Colorado and took several lives while storms in the eastern US slammed populated areas bringing havoc everywhere. Many are still without power in the scorching heat. It affected just some people in the US but not everyone. Although terrible in their immediate impact, soon the affected areas will be up and running. It certainly could have been much worse. In the political arena, some became very concerned and others breathed a sigh of relief as they watched our personal healthcare and all of our private information become the property of the United States government. (It was Nancy Pelosi who stated that we must pass the health care bill to find out what is in it. Now we shall find out.) None of these items caused an obvious major permanent shift in American society, at least not one that anyone is paying attention to yet. In the global arena there are wars and rumors of wars.
2 Peter 3: 3-4
"Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation."
Here in America life goes on with the average person unscathed by what is actually happening. With very little interruption to their monotonous routine, our local news reporters concentrate mostly on the “smooth things” that we care about such as sports, entertainment and movie stars. We are so used to this that it is considered “news” along with some disturbing events elsewhere. In our stupor we want to be prosperous, famous, beautiful or successful like we see the reports say that we should be. Even Christians can be caught up envying the famous regardless of their life style without considering that without Jesus Christ all they will ever have "good" is here and now with no hope for eternity. Most of the bad news is happening in other countries for now. American society is on the verge of collapse but few seem aware that we have entered a new era, just as our president promised. This is “hope and change” at work. Practicality demands that many people need more and more help as job losses increase so many are turning to the government for help. Many tell themselves that they will be provided for and so all will be well. It is all happening at the great cost of our freedom. Perhaps the government believes that we do not really care as long as we are comfortable. Turning a blind eye, many say that if it does not affect them personally then it really is not an immediate concern.
And so it is with much of church society as well. We are being provided for. At spiritual tables many continue to eat spiritual “junk food” instead of nutritious meals and call it good because this is what we are given day in and day out. We love our “candy”. Something must be happening. That “something” which appears to be happening for the most part is “NOTHING” of spiritual validity. The heavens seem silent for some of the church while there are others who are busy preparing a new church body created by unity and fit for the False Prophet. We are busy reinventing scriptural meaning, tweaking doctrines and watching for miraculous signs to affirm that we are on the right path. The one-world church's version of “Hope and change” calls for a new church for a new world. Many mistakenly believe God is doing marvelous things bringing all of these “Christian” bodies together to work for a better world.
Ask yourself, is it a good thing that ministries are “doing their part” to change society by trying to reinvent the gospel? Is it good to be more relevant to the times in which we live to attract more people? Or, should we be holding fast to the straight parameters we have been provided for in the Word of the Living God? The answer lies here. The Apostle Paul wrote to young Timothy:
2 Timothy 1: 13-14
“Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.”
The gospel is being challenged like never before. Why are we so ready to forget salvation through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ? One reason is because there is not strong leadership in much of the body of Christ that is guarding against doctrinal error and compromise. Many in leadership positions are promoting social change, world peace through compromise, and dominionism under various faith umbrellas. The church unity longed for and currently being actualized is producing a corrupted gospel for the sake of global church growth and power. The redefined job of the church is now to unite with “believers” of all faiths to solve the problems of the world. We are changing the gospel. The great falling away is upon us:
2 Timothy 4:3-4
“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”
Here are some quotes by those around us who loosely present themselves as either Christians or religious and promote a broadly defined “god-based” message of some kind.
Popular entertainer, Carrie Underwood:
"As a married person myself, I don't know what it's like to be told I can't marry somebody I love, and want to marry," she said. "I can't imagine how that must feel. I definitely think we should all have the right to love, and love publicly, the people that we want to love”…."Our church is gay friendly," she said. "Above all, God wanted us to love others. It's not about setting rules, or [saying] 'everyone has to be like me'. No. We're all different. That's what makes us special. We have to love each other and get on with each other. It's not up to me to judge anybody."
(The Independent: Carrie Underwood: US country queen speaks out for gay marriage – but how will conservative fans take it? June 9, 2012)
This is a good example of personal compromise as the result of the influence of the emergent church.
Politician and House Minority Leader, Nancy Pelosi when speaking of Ted Kennedy:
“I knew that when he left us he would go to heaven and help pass the bill,” Pelosi said of the late Massachusetts Democratic senator. “Now I know he was busily at work until this decision came down, inspiring one way or another. And now he can rest in peace.”
(CNS News.com Pelosi on Obamacare: I Knew Ted Kennedy ‘Would Go to Heaven and Help Us Pass the Bill’ June 28, 2012). At best, this is a crude version of salvation by works, I guess.
Emergent Church Leader, Gabe Lyons, speaks of his Kingdom vision for the church:
“As a natural by-product of God’s plan for his Kingdom, the next Christians are being dispersed as restorers throughout all channels of culture. They are carrying the message of Jesus—bringing restoration, renewal, and healing; fighting injustice; telling the truth; affirming goodness; and celebrating beauty—in their places of service. They play a key role in overcoming the evil that otherwise overwhelms everything.”
(http://herescope.blogspot.com/2011/08/denying-dominionism.html Quote from Lyons book The Next Christian p. 116-117) (Even though he claims to be a Christian, PLEASE NOTE PROMOTING SALVATION FROM SIN IS MISSING and the gospel is minimalized or redefined. I believe it was Jesus himself that played "a key role in overcoming evil". The message of Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection is replaced with a redefined religious message that sounds like “save the planet.”)
First Lady, Michelle Obama, to African Methodist Episcopal Church group, June 2012
“It’s kind of like church,” Obama said. “Our faith journey isn’t just about showing up on Sunday for a good sermon and good music and a good meal. It’s about what we do Monday through Saturday as well, especially in those quiet moments, when the spotlight’s not on us, and we’re making those daily choices about how to live our lives. We see that in the life of Jesus Christ. Jesus didn’t limit his ministry to the four walls of the church,” she said. “He was out there fighting injustice and speaking truth to power every single day. He was out there spreading a message of grace and redemption to the least, the last, and the lost. And our charge is to find Him everywhere, every day by how we live our lives.”
(ABC News.go.com Michelle Obama Cites Jesus as Model for Citizenship June 29, 2012) (Here is Jesus, the social reformer, wanting us to be the transformers of society. She misses the point of salvation from sin. The first lady is not generally known as a church going person and yet we see her redefining the message of Jesus. Can you say apostasy?)
J. Lee Grady, Former Editor of Charisma Magazine, Associated with the New Apostolic Reformation, speaking on the election of first black leader of the Southern Baptists
“Although I’m no longer a Southern Baptist, I’m dancing for joy over what happened in New Orleans this week. I just hope it is more than a momentary victory. I pray this historic breakthrough will inspire every one of us to bury all forms of religious segregation once and for all.”
(“The Stronghold of Religious Racism Is Falling” Charisma Magazine, June 20, 2012.)
The term “all forms” is disturbing since he is talking about Southern Baptists and then he generalizes. It sounds like a unity ploy and it doesn’t matter what one believes because we all need to jump on the religious band wagon. Does it mean we are racially prejudiced if we don’t join a united movement because we cannot agree doctrinally? This is very sad because the true believer in Jesus Christ is from every culture in the world and always has been and we are united in Jesus Chirst and Him alone. Religious segregation is equated with racial segregation….hmmmm.
ISNA (Islamic Society of North America) National Director Dr. Sayyid M. Syeed gives the closing interfaith prayer at the annual St. Joseph Day Breakfast in Washington DC. on June 15, 2012.
“In the Name of God, Most Merciful and Most Compassionate: God Almighty, our Creator, we celebrate the dignity and respect You have bestowed on all human beings by creating us all in Your own image. Help us to recognize that divine spark in our men and women, in our political and business leaders, in our white collar and blue collar workers, in our indigenous and immigrant faces, in people who look like us and those who look strangers, all striving to worship You through their work and service to Your creation. God, unite our hearts and inspire us to cooperate and build institutions, pass laws that set traditions and examples that ensure that none of Your servants is denied a share in Your bounties and none suffers from starvation and sickness. Almighty God, our Benefactor, today we have recognized individuals like our beloved leader Hilda Solis, whose faith and values have led her to make an outstanding contribution to the well-being of working people. We express our deep gratitude to You for blessing us with a society and a nation where people can climb up the social ladder. We pray to You earnestly to make that ladder of upward mobility ever stronger, so that the American dream is accessible and achievable to hardworking people of integrity who set their feet on this land -- people who contribute to the peace and prosperity of this nation, providing a shining example of equality and justice to our global village, the interconnected world of today. Ameen!”

Dr. Sayeed is appearing to jump on the unity band wagon of those he considers infidels.
The culmination of global and American religious thought in many areas of life is producing spiritual apostasy as the Bible predicted it would in the end times. In searching for universal answers, the church is becoming united into one conglomerate regardless of doctrine or religious affiliation. This spirit of antichrist will usher in the coming of the Antichrist and the False Prophet as spoken of in Revelation.
2 Thessalonians 2: 3-4
“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.”
At the inception of our country there were also those who believed in “a god” but did not believe in THE One True God and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The great Thomas Jefferson was a deist. He believed in God. A diest is one with the belief, based solely on reason, that God created the universe and then abandoned it. He assumed no control over life, exerted no influence on natural phenomena, and gives no supernatural revelation. Even though Jefferson believed in God as the creator, he seems to have not been able to believe in Jesus Christ as Savior and God, as mentioned in his letter to John Adams, April 11, 1823 below:
“And the day will come, when the mystical generation of Jesus, by the Supreme Being as his father, in the womb of a virgin, will be classed with the fable of the generation of Minerva in the brain of Jupiter.”
(Writings of Thomas Jefferson, Vol. VII, Published by Taylor and Maury, Washington DC, 1854.) This letter can be read and found from many online sources and here is just one of them. http://www.stephenjaygould.org/ctrl/jefferson_adams.html
The world- wide church, which is currently in the making, will be made up of all peoples coming together to form one politically based world religion worshiping the same god regardless of their personal doctrines. What would make the citizens of a country like the United States willing to concede to a global ruler who would change the very nature of their independent spirit and way of life? A war or disaster of some kind happening to America would produce such a scenario. The False Prophet will administrate a global church of which America will be a part. The global church will have a Jesus that is not the Jesus given in the Word of the Living God. At present time each group has their own dominionist agenda. The faiths of the world are converging toward social justice and a political lordship over all. Christian dominionists want to take the whole world for Jesus and force a global government that way, then hand the new world over to Jesus. Islam wants to take the world for Allah through Jihad as commanded. Proponents of Islam are proceeding by toppling governments and threatening the entire world with either “peaceful aggression” or outright war. They want the rule of international law to be under the auspices of what is called “Sharia”.
There are currently factions under both religious camps forming a new faith called “Chrislam”. Eventually they will both be under the False Prophet, along with other religions. Whether willingly or unwillingly, they will all create a political and religious system such as the world has never seen. Perhaps Christians are being duped by promises of peace by the deceptive practices of Islam known as Taqqiya (lying for the sake of Allah). Muslims say they believe in Jesus and the prophets, but it is not the Jesus of the Bible. Some Christians want to accept them telling themselves that Muslims worship the same God. In many cases, the church has taken their eyes off of the real Jesus Christ so Satan will produce a new One. The new one will be accepted by Christians, Muslims and people of all faiths…. one way or the other.
In the midst of the fray, stand the real men and women of God who will not bow to any entity but the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God has always had a people. Here is where I want to be personally. Even though we are not in the majority and we are becoming increasingly more unpopular in the new global age, there are those that will stand for Jesus no matter what. There are those who will never waiver in their stand for true Biblical doctrine and for the authenticity of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ as God in the flesh. We will not compromise our Lord.
John 1: 14
“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth."
Yes, God became flesh and dwelt among us. Our yearning as believers is to see Jesus. Our desire is to see the lasting freedom and peace in the world that will happen when Jesus Christ comes back as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. We shall see Him and we shall reign with Him in a world filled with His righteousness.
At this time when we remember the precious freedoms that we possess as Americans, may we not forget that true spiritual freedom is in the heart of every born-again child of God.
John 8: 36
“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”
Here is a closing note of interest on the life of Thomas Jefferson. His failing health caused him to be bedridden at the time of his death. On July 3, 1826, from his bed, he uttered his final spoken words to his doctor and his grandson who were both standing nearby. In his weakened condition he said: “Is it the fourth yet?.” He never spoke another word. Thomas Jefferson died the next day, on Independence Day, July 4, 1826. John Adams, the second president with whom Jefferson served as vice president (and to whom he wrote the statement about Jesus quoted above) died within hours of his famous vice president, Thomas Jefferson, also on July 4, 1826.
